
Regional ASA chapters are invited to apply for grants to support conferences and other projects that will serve regional constituencies and serve regional needs in an original and creative manner.
Applications Due March 20, 2026
Proposed projects should be designed to serve the people and communities within the region and to feature or leverage local resources. Grants can provide up to $3000 in funding to support a variety of projects including regional conferences, the development or implementation of decolonial detours, special journal-related projects, regional communities of practice or other collaborations, special event series, targeted support for participation of the regional chapter in the national conference, chapter leadership retreats and member outreach, or other chapter needs. We encourage projects that promote engagement with regional constituencies beyond the university.
Please submit the following:
- Appendices, including letters of support or collaboration from individuals and/or organizations involved in the project (as needed)A 3-5 page project narrative, describing:
- Project themes and objectives
- Statement of need
- Regional demographics
- Plans to publicize the project within the region
- A project budget
