Donations to the American Studies Association support long-standing programs, such as the annual meeting and ASA grants and prizes.

To donate to a prize fund or grant, we invite you to visit the ASA's donation page. All donations can be earmarked for specific funds – and, because the ASA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization chartered in the District of Columbia, all donations are tax-deductible for U.S. taxpayers.

ASA Solidarity Fund

The ASA is pleased to announce a new fund – the ASA Solidarity Fund. In 2018, the association's leadership as represented by the National Council embarked on a planning period for initiatives designed to give back to the membership. Many of these initiatives will be organized under the banner of and fueled by the Solidarity Fund. To launch this overarching strategy, the ASA is raising funds to subsidize conference costs for precarious members. Our 2019 goal was to raise enough funds to provide substantial support to 50 students, contingent faculty, unemployed or underemployed members, and non-academic activists. 2020 goals will be publicized following the Honolulu convening of the ASA National Council.

Your generous gift ensures that ASA Annual Meeting is inclusive and accessible for all members, especially those at the heart of our association. We are grateful to those who have provided a base of good will to launch this Fund. Contributors to the ASA Solidarity Fund are directly thanked via our Donor Wall. Gifts to the Fund can be marked as "anonymous" by contacting the ASA.

Please note: Our donation platform accepts both recurring and one-time gifts. Gifts at all levels are appreciated, and a custom donation can also be specified via the form below.
