The Dickinson College Department of American Studies seeks a one year Visiting Assistant Professor of American Studies with a specialty in Latinx Studies, beginning fall 2024.

We seek a dynamic and dedicated candidate with a Ph.D. (or ABD) in American Studies, Latinx Studies, Ethnic Studies or related field. 

This position entails teaching five courses throughout the year, including core courses in the American Studies curriculum and courses within the candidate's field of expertise.  A strong commitment to excellence in teaching within a liberal arts college setting is crucial for this position.  The ability to create inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student body will be an important characteristic of the successful candidate.

Dickinson College is a highly selective four-year, independent liberal arts college with 2300 students.  It is located 20 minutes west of Harrisburg and is a two-hour drive from Baltimore, Washington DC and Philadelphia.
