Humboldt State University’s Department of Native American Studies invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Native American Studies. Emphasis in Native American history, culture and contemporary politics, with an interest in place-based learning, environmental justice and decolonizing research that emphasizes indigenous knowledge/culture. Teaching will be in lower and upper division courses, some of which are general education. The potential hire should demonstrate a commitment to cross-departmental partnerships between the humanities, social sciences/STEM fields, a history of working closely with tribes, and developing tribal based projects/partnerships in higher education.
