Pitzer College invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level beginning Fall 2023 in Nineteenth-Century American literature. Multicultural approaches are highly desired. Also desirable are secondary research and teaching interests in performance studies and critical theory. Candidate will teach 5 courses annually. A Ph.D. in English or comparable field by time of appointment is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will have an ongoing research agenda and a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education and teaching.
