The American Studies Association annual meeting is a place for scholars, teachers, students, activists, and artists to share interdisciplinary research on U.S. culture and history in a global context.

It is a place for participants otherwise separated by disciplines, geographies, and professional barriers to come together, network, collaborate, and connect. Participants gather together to present individual papers, panels, performances, roundtables, workshops, or alternative formats. As an event, the annual meeting promotes the field of American studies among its practitioners and with the public at large, through the recognition of a range of accomplishments.
