UPDATE (9/20/2022): We believe the problems have been fixed but are leaving this message up in case they persist.

We apologize that the ASA website has experienced intermittent problems over the past week. Some users have experienced problems logging into their member profile, submitting information, or navigating their profile page. Some member profiles may also contain outdated or incorrect information about member status (e.g. current members designated as expired). If you receive an error messages, you may be able to ignore this as many functions can be carried out even after an error message appears. For example, you may be successfully logged in, even if the error message appears, so try reloading the page or going back to your desired page.

To reach your member profile, refreshing the page after receiving the error message should load your member profile, and you can perform certain functions such as managing the display and editing profiles and preferences.  Editing an address or loading one’s order history does not work, even after reloading the page. Our tech team at Johns Hopkins is aware of these reports and is diligently working to fix these problems.

Please also be advised that payments for conference registration, membership, and other matters are handled through an e-commerce site, which should not be impacted by these problems. To go directly to the payment site, enter this URL and select the appropriate item(s) from the various menus and add to your cart.: https://asa.press.jhu.edu/asa/conference

When prompted to login to make payments, your ASA login/password should work here or you can create a new username if you don't already have one.

They do not reflect the decisions or actions of the association’s governance bodies, the National Council or Executive Committee.
