Dear ASA Members:

The 2022 election period for the American Studies Association is quickly drawing to a close. All votes must be received by March 1, 2022.

To cast your vote, please log-in to the ASA website.

If your membership is up-to-date, you should be directed to the election site. You can also access the elections through the My Membership page (via the top right button that’s available wherever you are on the ASA website). This page provides quick links for time-sensitive matters.

If your membership isn’t up-to-date, you will be prompted to renew. Expired ASA members can read candidate statements but must renew in order to vote.

Additionally, the deadline for ASA book prizes is also March 1st. To learn more about eligibility, nominations, and application procedures, consult the John Hope Franklin Prize and Lora Romero Prize. You can also read more about other ASA Awards and Prizes, each with their own timeline for review.

Every year, the awards ceremony is a deeply moving and integral part of the annual meeting, as we take time to recognize the achievements of colleagues, mentors, and friends. Please consider nominating those who have inspired you or applying yourself—and we’ll look forward to celebrating together later this year.

Warmly,

John Stephens
Executive Director
American Studies Association
